It was a long ride out to you, but I made it. Looking forward to our eye contact, been months on the phone. The fighting and the week without you in it, fear of losing you, but I made it me and my girl….As I drove down that rode, I thought about how it would be, how you would be in person, maybe dinner and dancing or a movie, then that thought of not seeing you at all…I had pissed you off about 3 weeks ago…boy I thought you hated me…whatever it was I was overjoyed I finally got to take a trip. Finally the man of my dreams the one I adore….
We arrived at our hotel, you had booked it saying it was a nice place to stay. You knew I liked balconies and the ocean… They gave us a key, well they gave my girl one and handed me a different key. I looked at her and she looked at me, I said I told him one room for us, and she said well I think he have other plans for you. I am going to take a shower and hit the casinos. We got on the elevator her room was next to mine, I opened the door and it was
A rose on the table with a note…saying “get comfortable I will be back in a few”.
I looked around the room, looked like you had brought clothes and unpacked. I smiled saying “thank you God”…I have a fear of staying in a hotel room alone. To many scary movies…lol
I went in the bathroom and started the shower, thought I would freshen up before you got back. Besides my hair was a mess, I got a short hair cut and I hate it, but it is easier to deal with and not all that blow drying.
On the nightstand you had a few CDs, so I placed one in the player. Got my stuff ready to wear once I get out the shower……the phone rang……it was you to see if I got in fine…with a seductive voice you said” hope you didn’t mine I booked two rooms never know yanno”. I smiled and agreed, well I am about to take a shower when will you be here looks like you moved in…and I laughed. You said you were about 25-35 mins away. I said cool and we hung up.
Out the shower and a knock at the door, it was my girl. You coming or staying here…the shuttle leaves in about 15 mins. I told her I was staying waiting on you, she turned and walked down the hall…keep ya cell on and I got mine check in every hour. I closed the door, finished hanging my clothes and grabbed my book…the time had moved pass the time you was to be here…I started to call…. but I didn’t want to seem excited, so I waited for you. I curled up on the couch and started reading…
I must have drifted off to sleep; I could hear someone messing with the lock. Before you stepped in you called my name and ask me was a fully dressed?...yes I am, I whispered a little…..you walked in and closed the door…
You walked towards me…bent over and kissed me on my cheek, “sorry I wasn’t here when you got here”…it’s ok we sat and stared for a few then you start talking….”well I planned dinner for us hope that is ok, but if your tired I understand we can watch movies and grab something”…no that is fine, I am cool with it I guess. …you laughed at me…wear something comfortable. I put on my black jeans and sweater with pant boots. I figured since you had on nice jeans and a sweater…as I turned around you slap me on my butt…I turned and looked at you…I owe you that you said and smiled.
The drive was sort of long but it was cool, I was with you and I trusted you…we finally pulled up in a drive way…I looked you laughed and got out and walked around to help me down out your truck…I asked where were we and you said you will see…we got to the door and you and pushed some numbers in like we was at fort knocks or something…and you extended your hand for me to go in first…I walked pass you and you slap my butt again…hmmm I said…I owe you that as well you whispered…hmmmm thas all I could say….
I walked in the door further and it was a living room area with dim lights and soft music playing…You told me to have a seat, you went in the back room. You was talking as you was walking letting me know you had to stop home first before we go eat…
You walked back in grab my hand…I just looked at you didn’t know what to say. You looked in my eyes and told me that you did love me, but we had to work on some things and hoping this week would get us closer and more understanding of each other…I didn’t get two rooms so we could sleep together…I want to get to know you in every way and I figured well…lets go eat.
It didn’t take long to get to the place once we got back in the truck…it was a steak house it was pretty cool…we ordered and ate and talked and laughed a lot. I was thinking ... why he cut off what he was saying….i dare not ask just went with the flow.... After dinner we stop at a ice cream place got ice cream and went back to the hotel…
As I took my shower you watched tv, I got dressed in the bathroom and when I got out you went in…boy you was in there like forever…lol… as you was buttoning up your pj shirt you was talking in and out and said you had ordered a movie for us to watch, and eat our ice cream. I smiled and my cell rung..my girl checking in she must have had fun at the casino it had been about 5 hours….she was letting me know she was in…after we hung up… I called my kids checked on them. By that time, the movie was coming on and you had made a little pallet on the floor and told me to come sit with you…I smiled and made my way next to you, and we ate ice cream and watched Tv….
You held me in your arms I was so comfortable I drifted off to sleep…when I woke up it was to your lips saying lets go to bed, I will sleep on the couch if you like? I didn’t know what to say…I smiled and whispered you can hold me right here or in the bed…you stood up and reached for me, led me to the bed and laid the covers back…kissed me on the cheek and walked around and got in as well…placed your arm around me…goodnight hun, good night my baby….finally a kiss on the lips and a warm flash went over me…and you held on to me tighter and I snuggled under you….
