I don't know if any of u saw the fight this last saturday nite...If u did or didn't, lemme give ya alil brief recap of the events:
The 1st first, Bernard Hopkins vs. Antonio Tarver (actually a replay of the fight which took place the Saturday before)...This was B-Hop's last fight before retiring and he whupped up on Tarver for 12 straight rounds...Tarver was talking mad trash all before the fight about how he was the "Legend Killer" (becuz he K.O.'d Roy Jones) and how he was so confident that he wagered $250,000 of his own money (to donate to Hopkins' charity) that he would knock out Hopkins in 5 rounds...Well that did not happen...Actually, he almost got his ass knocked out in that 5 round...I was quite stunned by Tarver's performance becuz he did not do anything the whole fight and Hopkins made him look like an amatuer...Hopkins retired after the match and goes in the record books as the only fighter to move from middleweight up 2 weight classes and to win the light heavyweight championship.
The next fight, Jermain Taylor vs. Winky Wright...The fight ended in a draw so Taylor retained his Middleweight championship...Winky blew off the 12th round by dancing and running around cuz he thought that he had already won...It was a good fight..Both fighters' faces showed that they were in a fight...Taylor's eye was completely shut almost during the whole fight while Wright's eye was swelling as well...Taylor was tearing up Wright when they were in the middle of the ring, but Taylor kept goin onto the ropes and into the corners, and thats when Wright would let loose on him...I agree that it was a draw and that there should be a rematch...Wright was so digusted after the fight, he claimed that he dont even want one...Maybe after he cools off, he will do the right thing and agree to have that rematch and really decide who's the best between the two...
