The emotional excitement can settle down a bit today as the Moon entered steady Taurus at 8:46 am EST. We can feel like everything is getting back to basics with the emphasis of this stable earth sign. Even complex situations seem less complicated now. Our actions take on a simple cause-and-effect relationship, helping life make sense. Remember, however, that Mars in Taurus is still moving quite slowly. As the Moon increases our attention on the physical world, we may become very impatient with unfulfilled desires. We must tread carefully or we might regret what we do.

Taurus is ruled by Venus, which has a slow and deliberate quality. So, when Mars comes along and shakes it up, it creates a personal push/pull situation. Mars activates Venus in a peculiar way so that instead of being self-loving, it makes him self-centered, giving the individual no other objective than self-gratification. Combined with the Moon in Taurus emotions may tend to be passionate and strong at the moment. This may be a time in which it may be difficult to handle one's emotions.

Talkative Mercury enters adventurous Sagittatius today activating our tendency to think expansively. We are more attracted now to ideas and philosophies than to the practical application of language. Our inclination toward learning increases, yet this gravitation to lofty thoughts and far-away places may feel familiar, for Mercury recently visited Sagittarius from October 30th through November 26th, before retrograding back to the passionate realm of Scorpio (De-jah-view??).

Combined wth today's Moon in stubborn Taurus, we must be careful that we don't become too self-righteous in our beliefs.
