Why do people all of a sudden become attracted to a person they never thought twice about, until someone else is interested in them?
Why do people try to make people jealous or say something to make people think you are together, with that person?
But then it do make you think, why that person says or does what they did...you really never know what that man or woman said to them for them to act the way they do. (it is always 2 parts of a story ...yanno)
So how true are you with a person that is interested in you, but your so-called interested in another person? Do you string them along just because?

A.) It's just the classic case of people wanting what they can't have. I personally find that motive insane. I tell my friends and even myself if they find themselves (or myself) in that situation: If they didn't want you when you were by yourself, they don't really want you at all. I don't know why people wait til you're attached; if anything if I know you ain't locked down that's the main time I'm going to jump at my chance.
B.) As far as people trying to make you feel jealous that they are with someone else, I have personal experience with that. My ex used to come to my old job (I worked in a clothing store) every other week to parade some new girl around the store with him (fortunately we always seemed to miss each other). But after a while, honest to goodness, I took it as a compliment because when people have to go THAT far to prove that they moved on, not only have they not, but whatever they're in must not be that real. I always say when people spew that much emotion to something, it means they still care. Whether it's anger, talking dirt, whatever, you're still on that person's mind that long enough for them to go through these crazy feats. Right or wrong: When you're done over something or don't care, you really don't care what impression it leaves, right?
C.) To answer it in general, I think people just play these games because there's something that's lacking from or within them and like they say drama (or misery) loves company, so they want someone to be just as confused as they are.
