I went to see the movie Something New, Yesterday. I found the movie to be "a nice change." I think it is a nice family movie and would be a great way to open up dialog about multi-ethnic dating/relationships. I know previews have called this the first movie of its kind(white male/black female) how quickly they forgot about Guess Who starring Bernie Mac. I guess this is the first movie of it's kind directed by a woman of color. Somehow,I feel the need to explain my choice of words. Please realize that this is my humble opinion and I am in no way trying to offend. There is only one race on this planet. God chose the make us human. There are however many ethnic backgrounds from with people come. I am mult-ethnic, My father is caucasion, my mother was Afro-American. My ancestors are a wonderful rainbow of people. I love all of my people. However their choice of words hurt sometimes.
