Proverbs 3:5 (NIV) Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own

understanding
;

In all circumstances we have to embrace God’s truth in unwavering trust. God is ever present and is in the midst of every tribulation, every crisis and every test we face. As friends of God in each turmoil we have the opportunity to trust him. James 2:23 (NIV) - …"Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness," and he was called God's friend." Can you imagine what Abraham must have been thinking as God asked him to prepare his son as a sacrifice. Abraham was standing on the promises of God, believing that God’s plans for him would never include harming him and his actions confirmed that unwavering trust. James 2:20-22 (NIV) - You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.

When a mason prepares brick for a building he will often have to chip pieces of the individual bricks so they fit, the mason is preparing the bricks for their permanent place. God is preparing us in the same way. Romans 8:28 (Amplified Bible) We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.

1 Peter 4:12-13 (THE MESSAGE) Friends, when life gets really difficult, don't jump to the conclusion that God isn't on the job. Instead, be glad that you are in the very thick of what Christ experienced. This is a spiritual refining process, with glory just around the corner.

2 Corinthians 6:4-10 (NLT) In everything we do, we show that we are true ministers of God. We patiently endure troubles and hardships and calamities of every kind. We have been beaten, been put in prison, faced angry mobs, worked to exhaustion, endured sleepless nights, and gone without food. We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us, and by our sincere love. We faithfully preach the truth. God’s power is working in us. We use the weapons of righteousness in the right hand for attack and the left hand for defense. We serve God whether people honor us or despise us, whether they slander us or praise us. We are honest, but they call us impostors. We are ignored, even though we are well known. We live close to death, but we are still alive. We have been beaten, but we have not been killed. Our hearts ache, but we always have joy. We are poor, but we give spiritual riches to others. We own nothing, and yet we have everything.

Live on the promises of God, He is preparing us in every situation; seek Him with an unwavering trust.
