Almost 1/3 of the old testament was written in poetry form. Which dealt with questions about pain, God, life, and love.

Job The entire book deals with questions of why people suffer.

Psalms (one of my favorites to read)...covers the full ranges of human emotions and how to relate to God.

Proverbs offers advice life (leading a fullfilled life).

Ecclesiates reminds us that life without God leads to meaninglessness and despair.

Song of songs This beautiful poem celebrates romantic love and can be seen as an example of how God loves us.
